Skilled in all stages of design, from concept to construction and road safety auditing, with proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D. Strong working knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, TAL, LTN 1/20, and Manual for Streets. Member of the National Transport Committee (Local Government Technical Advisors Group), advisor to London Assemblies, and previously collaborated with the Global Policy Institute to secure EU transport funding for UK cities.

Kingston and Sutton Councils, Principal Traffic Engineer (Waterman Aspen secondment)

• Led a team of 5 engineers to fast-track a backlog of several schemes due for submission to Council’s Transport Committee meeting in September
• Schemes included zebra crossings, cycle tracks and cycle parking, junction improvements, weight restrictions, changing temporary low traffic neighbourhood road closures to permanent designs with public realm elements
• Conducted site surveys, engagement with local residents and businesses, and produced concept design for a large public realm scheme for bidding
• Provided technical support to junior members of the team
• Prioritised weekly workload for the junior team members to meet deadlines

Nov 24 to May 25:

Kent County Council, Principal Traffic Engineer (Waterman Aspen secondment)

• Produced preliminary and detailed designs for active travel projects, such as cycle schemes, bus lanes and crossing point
• Produced high level construction estimates using SoR
• Drafted feasibility report relating to the introduction of a shared pedestrian/cycle facility and crossing point
• Provided technical support to junior members of the team

• Managed highway drainage repair and maintenance program for both boroughs
• Worked on Quiet Ways cycling corridor schemes, topographical surveys, pedestrian crossings, and public consultations

Apr 15 to Sep 16:

Hounslow Highways (Eurovia Ltd), Senior Traffic Engineer

• Worked for a variety of schemes in the Borough, which included the 20-million-pound Feltham Town Centre Regeneration Scheme
• The scheme required the closure of a railway level crossing, widening of a railway bridge and a river bridge
• Responsible for artistic conceptual designs for the scheme to include lowering and widening of junctions, a new traffic layout and public realm improvements to Feltham High Street and surrounding streets, which included parking arrangements
• Prepared all the drawings for the project, which included site clearance, setting out, materials, signing and road markings, signals, lighting, and street furniture
• Undertook drainage design with new sewer run, 3d modelling, with calculations of slopes and levels
• Liaised with Network Rail, utility companies, TfL Buses and TfL Signals

• Oversaw ten shopping Centre’s improvement schemes, which included policy development
• Managed 4 Engineers and 1 Technician
• Undertook design of public engagement policy, scheme evaluation and programme management
• Managed design process, which included ‘transform your space’ with SUDS and Greening projects

Sep 08 to Jan 15:

London Borough of Lambeth, Transport and Highways Engineer

• Undertook the landscape and engineering design for the multi-award winning Van Gogh Walk Regeneration project
• Responsible for site supervision for this multi award winning project
• Worked on a range of other projects including Public Realm improvements, Greening schemes, 20mph Zones, junction improvement and pedestrian crossings such as zebra and puffin
• Reviewed and provided comments on S38 and S278 developer schemes
